k, here's how it went down. i pushed my way to the bar right away so i wouldn't have to worry about it (right in front of where lars frederickson would be). i held down my territory the entire time too, although i got the shit beat out of me for it. hanging on to the bar is good because you have something solid to hang on to (moshers at the wilma are usually drunk and aggro) but on the down side it's harder than human bodies. so, i have a thick line of bruising across my ribs and back of my upper arms, then more on my knees and my hip bones. also, my camera got obliterated, but luckily i got all the pictures i wanted before a crowd surfer got to it. less than jake was super awesome. and then, so was rancid of course. it was like he [tim] was singing every song to an audience for the first time, he puts so much soul into it with his gestures and facial expressions. they sang like thirty songs, it was so satisfying. at the end, tim got on the woofers right in front of me. we were all reaching out our hands to touch him. he grabbed mine, and everyone was trying to push it away, but he held on to it until he could get his pick into my hand. i feel so special. since my camera is now broken, i'll probably scan it sometime. it's orange with the rancid logo on one side and tim armstrong written on the other.
