fireworks, swimming, food, people. i got 2 jobs on the fourth of july. one at the winery in dayton where i started today, then tomorrow i go to crazy mikes video (my apostrophe isnt working! i need to restart..). we saw the fireworks display behind james' house (why is my apostrophe working now?!) on the piece of property with the fake island on it by riverside. james got permission from the owner to shoot fireworks on the property, but the cops didn't believe us. then again, freakin everyone was shooting fireworks from there and on riverside so i think they gave up. awhile later the rest of our family showed up (a large party) to see the bigger show. but first mom had to see us light a million roman candles.
at the winery, i did mostly bottling but i'm the only one who didn't do bottling the entire day. it's owned by anjuli/taj campbell's dad, so anjuli went and showed me how to tie/clip/prune the grape plants in the morning and i did that for awhile. then i did bottling. the labeler died so we ended up just boxing them to label later. the two girls who work there were talking about what they were going to do with their paycheck. one of them said "i'm going to get an abercrombie sweatshirt!!!!" oh joy. then i learned how to work the tasting room (why do i feel like a bartender) so how do i do this when i can't even taste any of it. so, what do you think of the chardonnay? i dunno, i've never tried it. didn't red monster win a national medal or something? i dunno, what does it say?! anyway..there are like 20 different kinds to keep track of...i don't understand cash registers. my back should be hurting from lifting so many boxes but it doesn't.
